It's hard to believe that one can let oneself go through so many ups and downs with weight loss, but there you have it! That's what I've been doing. I've been doing a self checkin once a week for a month now and I'm exactly where I started a month ago. During the month, I lost weight and then gained it back week to week. Just that small journaling is really telling. What am I really doing here? What are my goals? Am I to maintain weight that I know I need to lose or am I really trying to lose weight?
Well, I know that I want to lose 30 pounds. I know that I need to do it for health reasons and also because it's uncomfortable carrying around weight I don't need. It doesn't look good and doesn't make me feel good either. I've been reading about colon cleansers that boost weight loss, such as the Colonix program, and I know it's true that keeping your colon cleansed does wonders for your system and even keeps you having a healthy glow to your skin, but it's not enough to actually keep the weight down. You have to change your lifestyle!
So, here we are at the start of a new week and I am reaffirming my commitment to weight loss. My children are home with me for the summer and I'm determined to keep them active as well as myself. We'll see what exercise does to assist.
